About Alanah Lynn Designs and Quilt Shop

We're a quilt shop in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and we're a little bit of everything a quilter needs — and a few things you didn't know you wanted.

Fabric, notions, and patterns. Our shelves are stocked with quilting cottons in the colours and prints we'd actually use ourselves, plus the basics that make a project come together: thread, needles, rulers, rotary cutters, marking tools, and the notions you always seem to run out of at 9 p.m. Patterns range from beginner-friendly to something worth stretching for.

Quilt kits. Everything cut and bundled for you — fabric, pattern, and instructions in one bag. Perfect for a class, a gift, or a weekend when you want to start sewing instead of planning.

Vintage quilts. We keep a small, carefully chosen collection of antique and vintage quilts. Some are for the bed, some are for the wall, and some we'd argue belong in a frame. Each one comes with what we know about its age, pattern, and story — and we don't sell anything we wouldn't keep.

Vintage sewing machines. Featherweights, 301s, and other machines that still have decades of good sewing left in them. Every machine is cleaned, serviced, timed, and tested before it goes on the floor, and it comes with a case, accessories, and an honest description of what it is. We'll walk you through threading and tension before you leave, and we're here when something needs adjusting.

Longarm quilting. Finished tops welcome. We offer edge-to-edge and custom quilting, basting, and binding, and we'll help you pick a design and thread that suit the quilt. Bring or ship your top — we'll talk through preparation expectations and honest turnaround times up front, with no surprises.

More than a shop. We run classes, host a sit-and-sew, and starting in January 2027 the Featherweight Club will meet monthly here in Harrodsburg. Bring a machine, bring a project, or just bring yourself.

Come see us in Harrodsburg in 2027. Whether you've been quilting for forty years or you just inherited a machine and don't know where to start, there's a spot at the table for you
